That is an interesting idea….though, isn’t that why we call her GLaDOS to begin with? Although it is an acronym, it is technically the name the Aperture scientists called her. I suppose she would just keep it.

I guess it all depends on what the pre-deadly neurotoxin days look like in your head. In my headcanoning of things, none of her activations were really long enough for interaction (a la Lab Rat, where it’s mentioned that it takes her fractional picoseconds to start trying to murder everyone,) and the first time they turned her on, it was “Caroline,” since that’s who they thought they were addressing, not GLaDOS as we know her right now. The acronym would still be floating around, and would still refer to her, but she’d never have heard it before, is all.
Does that… kinda make more sense? It’s a bit of a weird notion, but… that kind of makes me want to play with it all the more XD
